Our Trip to the Arabian Gulf

Here is a photoset on Flickr of our trip to Half Moon Bay on the Arabian Gulf. This spot is about 35 minutes from our house. We went with three other families. The water was a little cold, but what do you expect from January.

Hello, everybody. I enjoy reading your updates and it looks like you are having a wonderful time and that you are all happy. Lots happening here at EIRI–never a dull moment. How is the dissertation coming along–or should I ask! :) I very much envy you–no WHITE STUFF. I am ready for the spring. Yesterday morning when we got up it was 3 degrees and we got all the way up to 11. Yes, one of those nice, balmy Cache Valley mornings.

Beautiful pictures! We were all jealous of the shorts and the beach. Sorry that your sheep rodeo and lambchop BBQ had to be cancelled due to the rules on the beach! Bummer. It is foggy and 15 degrees here. Jacob was told the wrong time on the basketball game today, so he missed it and is not happy. He had to choose the classes for South Cache for next year this week. I had some women over last night to watch the latest Uncle Tom’s Cabin movie, which was not very good compared to the book which I put in my top 10 favorites. News from the ward, Katie Johnson is now back at home but is still very sick and recovering. Miss you all, Swantons

Wow! I love the pictures. We sure do miss you guys! It is great to see your family. It looks like you guys are having a great time. I can’t wait to see your other adventures.

Hi guys! We are unable to get emails through to you. Any idea why? The kids have written your kids and Jess had some questions she wanted to ask for her Geography class. She said to tell you your family are celebrities at South Cache. Her teacher is very interested in your experience and has asked Jess to share anything she knows - hence the email questions. I had her look at your blog and she got some ideas about dress and culture she will share. Jon - could you give me any ideas about why we can’t send emails and what I can do to change it? I wish you were close and I could run over with my laptop! We love and miss you all. Shannon

Those pics are amazing. THe one of the whole family with the sunset doesn’t even look real it’s so beautiful. I laughed out loud about the sheep rule!! Darcy

Wonderful pics of the beach. I agree with Rachel, I’m jealous. Cache Valley’s frigid temperatures are really getting to me.

I’m sorry to use your blog space for email problems, but it’s the only way I can contact you. If I am receiving your emails, but you are not receiving mine, isn’t it your computer blocking my emails? It says mail undeliverable - return to sender and blocked for SPAM. It sounds like your computer thinks my emails are spam. Is there something you can change to allow them to get through? Sorry to be a pest, but I am so anxious to be able to email you again. Shannon

    Hey Shan,

We got it figured out. You should be able to send an email without any problem.

We love to see all the new pictures. Emma loves to look at the ones of Jordan, but always has to see Josh and Jo jo’s too. It always is good to see pictures of you having fun and doing normal things. It makes it seem not quite so far away. We love you all and miss you like crazy.
